PINEDALE — The Pinedale High School Lady Wranglers hoopsters are riding the momentum of an incredible start to the summer season of travel basketball. The girls’ varsity team went 6-1 overall with some impressive victories over tough Colorado teams over the weekend, coming out as the champions of the Denver Gold Crown Tournament.
• 6A Castle View, 44-31
• 5A Montrose, 50-11
• 4A Kent Denver, 62-36
• 3A Tinmath, 52-27
• 5A Green Mtn 52-54, lost in the final seconds.
• 6A Arvada West, 43-42
• Championship game vs 5A Mead, 43-39 for the win!
The weekend prior, the Lady Wranglers finished the first tournament of the summer season in Idaho Falls undefeated, knocking out the top teams in neighboring Idaho.
