BIG PINEY — The 13th Annual Big Piney Hall of Fame inductions are fast approaching, planned for Saturday, Sept. 28, at the Southwest Sublette County Pioneers Senior Center in Marbleton.

Joel Eskelsen, one of the event’s organizers, said this week is the last chance for folks to reserve tickets and seats to the banquet, for $35/per person. Anyone wishing to reserve tickets for the event should contact Lori Green at Big Piney High School by calling 307-276-3324 or emailing lgreen@sublette9.org. Reservations may also be made by contacting Louann Heydt or Bill Lehr.

The 13th Annual inductions will include Melodie Fear Good, a graduate of the Class of 1970, who will be enshrined as a Distinguished Alumni. From the Class of 1972, Louann (Tomassi) Heydt will be inducted into the Hall of Fame. Joining the two distinguished ladies is Mark Mickelson of the Class of 1973 and John Linn from the Class of 1974.
Entering the Big Piney Athletic Hall of Fame is Aaron Camis, one of Big Piney High School’s first state wrestling champions. State champion trackster and All-State football standout Luke Barron will be inducted, as well as Zach Wenz, a multi-sport All-State athlete in football and track.

The Big Piney Hall of Fame inductions are planned in conjunction with the Big Piney High School Homecoming festivities. The Puncher Homecoming parade and other activities take place this year on Thursday, Sept. 26.
