PINEDALE — Art enthusiasts are encouraged to attend tonight’s artist’s reception for James Overstreet and his “Colorful West” exhibit from 5-8 p.m., at Mystery Print Gallery and Frame, 221 South Sublette Avenue in Pinedale. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet Overstreet and admire his “explosively textured and brilliantly colorful” paintings that put a twist on the iconic landscapes and wildlife of the area. Refreshments will be served.
“Colorful West” will remain on display in Pinedale now through Nov. 2.
With ties to Wyoming and Colorado, Overstreet, who lives in Cheyenne, obtained his Bachelor’s in Fine Art from Rock Mountain College of Art and Design in Lakewood, Colo. His artwork doesn’t just hang in galleries across the West, it also towers over the public as murals like the ones he created in Cheyenne on the Sewing Center, the Habitat for Humanity ReStore, T-Joe’s Steakhouse, and the Lincoln Music Theatre.
