WYOMING – Jackson Hole Classical Academy is partnering with the Wyoming Chess Association to host the Wyoming Scholastic Chess Tournament.

The tournament, a first in five years, will be held at the private academy’s campus on Saturday, May 7, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. It starts promptly at 9 a.m. and subsequent rounds will follow as soon as possible after. It is open to K-12 chess players, split into K-3 and 4-12 sections, and presents an opportunity to advance to the national competition.

Registration is $20 per student and includes a box lunch.

U.S. Chess Federation membership is required for all players. Youth membership is $20 per year and permits playing in other events.

JHCA, located at 25000 South Park Loop Road in Jackson, will provide an optional and free prep tournament on Friday, May 6, from 3:30 to 5 p.m.
