The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office reported 127 calls from Nov. 20 to Nov. 26, including five medical emergencies, 10 citizen assists, four suspicious incidents, one collision, one outside fire, five wildlife calls, three livestock problems, a family fight, two unconscious people, 34 urinalyses and 12 vehicle identification number inspections.

Sheriff's report Nov. 20 to Nov. 26, 2023

The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office reported 127 calls from Nov. 20 to Nov. 26, including five medical emergencies, 10 citizen assists, four suspicious incidents, one collision, one outside fire, five wildlife calls, three livestock problems, a family fight, two unconscious people, 34 urinalyses and 12 vehicle identification number inspections.

Nov. 20

At 8:46 a.m., a man with a warrant was arrested.

At 4:11 p.m., the Sublette County Attorney requested information from an officer.

At 4:27 p.m., a man passed on his wife’s message of about 20 mountain goats in the middle of Highway 191 near Bondurant.

At 5:21 p.m., a man found a border collie on Burnt Lake Road and couldn’t find the owner so he took it home. The dog refused to come inside.

At 7:15 p.m., Lincoln County reported a person had breathing problems.

Nov. 21

At 12:11 a.m., a deputy found the Pinedale Aquatic Center’s garage door open with no one around. A deputy checked and cleared the building.

At 8:14 a.m., a suspicious van was parked near the Warren Bridge since the previous morning. The driver said he was camping.

At 8:17 a.m., a man reported a suspicious blue SUV with no one around parked at a ranch entrance. It was gone 24 hours later.

At 10:44 a.m., a man complained that he paid for a welding bed a year ago; he never got and couldn’t reach the seller. It is a civil issue.

At 11:38 a.m., the Pinedale school resource officer requested information about a juvenile matter.

At 12:32 p.m., a deputy helped with traffic control during the Turkey Trot.

At 1:07 p.m., the Big Piney school resource officer looked into a juvenile matter.

At 2:11 p.m., Department of Family Services had information for a school resource officer.

At 2:13 p.m., the school resource officer investigated a juvenile matter.

At 2:39 p.m., an Afton realtor was contacted by a man who said he wanted to sell his lot for cash only. The realtor listed it and then learned the real owner did not want to sell it and had not contacted him.

At 3:51 p.m., a woman asked a deputy to check on someone’s welfare.

At 3:54 p.m., a person who fell several days earlier was life-flighted.

At 7:48 p.m., a pregnant woman fainted.

At 8:02 p.m., a deer carcass was a traffic hazard.

At 8:40 a.m., a deer carcass posed a traffic hazard.

At 10:50 p.m., a deputy responded to an ongoing investigation with juvenile involvement.

Nov. 22

At 12:09 a.m., a terminal cancer patient was in pain.

At 1:04 p.m., a man felt like he was going to pass out.

At 7:35 a.m., a deputy was waiting for a dog’s owner.

At 12:59 p.m., a horse fell and landed on a man’s leg.

At 1 p.m., a dizzy person reported heart problems.

At 1:07 p.m., a woman said a un-uniformed cop neighbor accused her and her mother’s dog of killing his cat; they asked for a deputy. The call was transferred to Wyoming Highway Patrol.

At 1:20 p.m., a woman said her tires were slashed and she has a stalking order. The stalking order is for Sublette County and the incident happened in Utah. She was advised to call the local police.

At 1:35 p.m., a man reported a trespasser and theft. The call was transferred to Wyoming Game and Fish.

At 3:32 p.m., a person had difficulty breathing.

At 4:03 p.m., a person fell and had an epileptic seizure.

At 4:12 p.m., a woman wanted to talk to a deputy about possible child abuse.

At 6:40 p.m., a truck hit and injured a deer.

At 7:27 p.m., a Jeep Gladiator was swerving and varying speeds. The driver was not intoxicated and cited for speeding and lane usage.

At 9:19 p.m., a woman needed help getting her husband back into his wheelchair.

At 10:48 p.m., a family fight was reported with a lot of shouting.

At 11:06 p.m., a person with Parkinson’s was having problems.

At 11:49 p.m., a suspicious 911 call came in with static, loud noises and two men singing.

Nov. 23

At 6:47 a.m., a brown horse was running down Highway 191 south of Pinedale.

At 8:23 a.m., a woman passed along a message about a vehicle off the road near the Hoback Rim. A deputy found tire marks but no vehicle.

At 8:37 a.m., a cow moose was bouncing around the highway while her calf waited to cross; cars stopped.

At 8:56 a.m., a person’s legs weren’t working.

At 11:26 p.m., a man cooked an 18-lb. turkey and wanted to give it to a family in need.

At 2:58 p.m., a woman cut her hand and was bleeding badly.

At 3:51 p.m., a person’s injury was squirting blood.

At 4:19 p.m., a deputy tried to get a moose calf on the highway together with its mother.

At 6:28 p.m., a fire was burning by a trash pit at the landfill. Sublette County Unified Fire and county employees were there.

Nov. 24

At 8:33 a.m., a person couldn’t talk.

At 10:50 a.m., a deputy checked on a person’s welfare.

At 10:51 a.m., a man’s truck was sitting in a shop that seemed to be closed; he didn’t get his money back and had no transmission. It is a civil issue.

At 12:03 p.m., a person was verbally abused and felt unsafe while walking the dog. A deputy advised the disputing neighbors to part ways.

At 12:29 p.m., a man with back trauma couldn’t walk.

At 12:31 p.m., a man apologized to a woman for using choice words.

At 4:25 p.m., a man came home from work and found someone he didn’t want had parked there. The vehicle was gone when a deputy arrived.

At 4:34 p.m., iPhone alerted to a vehicle crash; the owner had dropped the phone and it dialed 911.

At 5:08 p.m., a person was feeling very weak.

At 11:03 p.m., a traffic stop turned into a DUI arrest.

At 11:13 p.m., a medical emergency was related to the DUI arrest.

Nov. 25

At 4:03 a.m., a water heater’s element caught fire.

At 4:26 a.m., a person had uncontrollable tremors.

At 7:13 a.m., an injured deer was lying in an outdoor riding arena.

At 10:50 a.m., a tan GMC truck crossed the center line about four times.

At 1:40 p.m., a deputy stopped to help with a cattle drive of 300 cattle at the Daniel Junction.

At 2:56 p.m., a red truck was parked in a handicapped spot.

At 3:11 p.m., a woman asked if dogs were allowed in the Luke Lynch Habitat Area.

At 9 p.m., an injured buck deer was hobbling toward Pinedale; a caller asked if a deputy could put it down if needed.

Nov. 26

At 12:48 a.m., an immobile man fell out of bed.

At 9:59 a.m., a woman said a propane truck just drained her mother’s tank and asked for help getting it turned around to have the tank refilled. The mother was confused; everything was okay.

At 12:03 p.m., a person had difficulty breathing.

At 12:54 p.m., a hay hauler parked and blocked an alley; it was pulling away as a deputy arrived.

At 5:13 p.m., a brown horse with a blue blanket was walking down Ashley Avenue.
