The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office reported 177 calls from April 22 to April 28 — up 15.68 percent from the previous week — including three family fights, five traffic crashes with damage, two threats, 10 suspicious circumstances, 15 citizen assists, a brush fire, eight animal problems, four sets of fingerprints, 35 urinalyses and 33 vehicle identification number inspections.

Sheriff's Report April 22 to April 28, 2024

The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office reported 177 calls from April 22 to April 28 — up 15.68 percent from the previous week — including three family fights, five traffic crashes with damage, two threats, 10 suspicious circumstances, 15 citizen assists, a brush fire, eight animal problems, four sets of fingerprints, 35 urinalyses and 33 vehicle identification number inspections.

 

April 22

At 8:55 a.m., a person wanted another person trespassed.

At 9:20 a.m., a person fell and couldn’t get up.

At 10:52 a.m., deputies assisted with a Sheriff’s Bill of Sale.

At 3:58 p.m., a crying female wanted dispatch to connect her to 911 in West Valley, Salt Lake City, Utah. Sublette County dispatch does not have that capability but attempted to assist the woman by providing a number for the appropriate agency.

At 5:36 p.m., a person reported a threat.

At 5:52 p.m., a caller saw a suspicious man walk up to a nearby business, walk up to a porch and then wave at a random vehicle. The man was homeless.

At 6:27 p.m., a stray dog by Family Dollar bit someone.

At 6:52 p.m., a person who had resigned from volunteer firefighting still had SCUF’s $450 Motorola pager two to three months after resigning.

At 10:39 p.m., a family fight was reported.

At 11:29 p.m., deputies caught a loose dog.

 

April 23

At 2:34 a.m., a disturbance related to another incident was reported.

At 6:26 a.m., a person was having chest pain.

At 6:27 a.m., a caller said she posted on the SCSO’s latest Facebook post “about the wolf” and that a user named Kendall Rynle somehow obtained her home address and spread it around on Facebook.

At 10:09 a.m., a caller reported a homeless man came to her house looking for a sister.

At 11:20 a.m., an information report was taken related to a juvenile matter.

At 12:08 p.m., a caller at the Boulder Store reported a truck hauling a trailer with two trucks on it that was unable to maintain a single lane of travel.

At 12:30 p.m., a stray cat was picked up.

At 1:02 p.m., a caller hit a deer that was still alive.

At 3 p.m., a business owner reported a homeless man “staggering” up and down Pine Street while talking to himself.

At 3:38 p.m., a person fell and broke their arm.

At 4:40 p.m., Animal Control requested assistance to remove a cat stuck in a fence.

At 6:26 p.m., a family fight was reported.

At 8:54 p.m., a person broke their arm and needed help.

 

April 24

At 4:31 a.m., a person fell outside the bathroom door.

At 11:27 a.m., a caller wanted to speak to Pinedale’s School Resource Officer about a son being bullied.

At 11:29 a.m., a juvenile matter was reported.

At 12:10 p.m., an information report was taken related to a juvenile matter.

At 12:28 p.m., a white horse escaped its yard and then returned home.

At 1:03 p.m., a caller said a deputy tried serving papers to his residence.

At 1:22 p.m., a person found a credit card on the bike path, notified the owner and made arrangements to return it.

At 2:13 p.m., a person wanted to speak to a deputy about obtaining a no-contact order.

At 2:23 p.m., a caller who gives riding lessons wanted to check if Frontage Road is public or private.

At 3:01 p.m., a driver following a pilot car was rear-ended.

At 6:01 p.m., an emergency beacon button in a Jaguar was activated.

At 6:09 p.m., a small dog with a pink collar and black and pink sweater was found near Harmony Bridge.

At 7:26 p.m., a caller reported his son’s Fourth Amendment rights were violated last week at school.

At 8:35 p.m., a person reported a headache.

At 9:24 p.m., a person had fallen several times.

At 9:31 p.m., a caller wanted to verify whether contacting a woman’s grandparents would violate a protection order.

 

April 25

At 12:22 p.m., a caller reported a person was belligerent, harassing and threatening them.

At 2:22 a.m., a residential burglar alarm was unfounded.

At 3:35 a.m., a dead deer was in the middle of the road.

At 5:58 a.m., a caller woke to the sound of an alarm going off. There was a smoke alarm in a trash can outside her building that had activated.

At 9 a.m., a caller attempted to have their phone call a hospital in Kemmerer but it called 911 by accident.

At 10:53 a.m., a prisoner was transported.

At 3:27 p.m., the traffic controller at a construction site reported a black GMC driven by an older male drove passed the pilot car and told them to “do their reffing job.”

At 3:38 p.m., a welfare check was requested.

At 3:43 p.m., an alarm was unfounded.

At 3:54 p.m., a renter who left in March still had their belongings in the apartment and wanted to speak to a deputy in person.

At 4 p.m., someone who saw flames associated with a controlled burn called the fire into dispatch.

At 4:35 p.m., the Cody Police Department had an information report.

At 5:10 p.m., a blue heeler with an orange collar was hanging around someone’s porch.

At 7:24 p.m., a person who was just sentenced and on probation was witnessed in the Boulder Bar.

At 7:33 p.m., two vehicles pulled over with flashers on.

At 8:33 p.m., three calves were running around on Milleg Lane.

At 8:35 p.m., a couple of dogs running loose on the highway were caught.

At 9:06 p.m., a person fell out of their wheelchair.

At 11:05 p.m., an abandoned vehicle was reported.

 

April 26

At 2:09 a.m., the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office advised Sublette County of a white 2022 Toyota Corolla with Ohio Plates driving on Highway 28 near milepost 31 towards Farson. Sweetwater County dispatch was advised of the issue.

At 5:41 a.m., a deer hit a driver’s side mirror.

At 7:20 a.m., three white sheep and one blue sheep were missing. They returned home.

At 7:40 a.m., a caller requested someone be trespassed from their property.

At 7:46 a.m., a stolen bike was reported and later found.

At 8:05 a.m., the Department of Family Services requested agency assistance.

At 8:25 a.m., a track athlete on the bus headed to Pinedale accidentally called 911.

At 8:29 a.m., a person had questions about what to do with a customer’s belongings left in a hotel room.

At 9:11 a.m., an information report was received.

At 9:55 a.m., the Hampton Inn and Suites provided an information report.

At 11:05 a.m., kids brought an iPad they found into the Big Piney Post Office. The owner was located and the tablet returned.

At 11:19 a.m., a caller stated her camper was stolen, but she was not located in Sublette County.

At 11:51 a.m., a juvenile-related call came in.

At 12:08 p.m., a deer with broken legs was near the side of the road by the Daniel Junction.

At 1:48 p.m., a deputy assisted with a Sheriff’s Bill of Sale.

At 2:33 p.m., a civil standby was requested.

At 3:08 p.m., a GMC Acadia was backed into by another vehicle.

At 4:59 p.m., debris in the roadway from a semi-truck tire was a hazard.

At 8:49 p.m., a person reported threats.

At 9:05 p.m., a person received a threatening call.

At 9:08 p.m., a property watch was requested.

At 9:09 p.m., a person received a voicemail about a jury summons.

At 9:58 p.m., a person with stomach pains probably needed an ambulance.

At 10:21 p.m., someone pounded on a person’s window three times. Deputies drove around the area but were unable to locate anyone.

At 11:16 p.m., a text to 911 stated a black Chrysler minivan pulling a small flatbed trailer was having difficulties.

At 11:23 p.m., a traffic offense was reported.

 

April 27

At 4:57 a.m., a grey F250 crashed into an elk and the driver was trying to move the elk off the road.

At 9:40 a.m., a young bull moose was deceased by a haystack.

At 10:39 a.m., a person was having abdominal pains.

At 2:02 p.m., a caller saw a dark brown dog run from the highway down into the willows.

At 3:54 p.m., Pinedale Medical Clinic requested law enforcement and EMS respond to a particular location to assist a person experiencing suicidal ideation.

At 4:52 p.m., a theft was reported.

At 8:09 p.m., a person with a severe headache and nausea could barely move.

At 9:41 p.m., a motorist assist was requested.

At 11:14 p.m., a minor in possession was reported.

 

April 28

At 12:25 a.m., a family fight was reported.

At 12:57 a.m., a yellow lab jumped its fence and ran into a neighbor’s house. The dog’s owner was very rude and accused the caller of trying to steal the dog.

At 6:20 a.m., a person with abdominal pain could barely move.

At 9:17 a.m., a sick person with a broken shoulder was vomiting.

At 2:46 p.m., a caller said she didn’t mean to dial 911.

At 3:01 p.m., a motor vehicle crash occurred at the intersection of Pine Street and Tyler Avenue.

At 4:30 p.m., an information report was taken.

At 5:25 p.m., a person was having an adverse reaction to medication.

At 6:28 p.m., a theft was reported.

At 6:34 p.m., a person’s stomach felt swollen.

At 8:03 p.m., Wyoming Highway Patrol responded to a single-vehicle crash.
