The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office reported 214 calls from Aug. 14 to Aug. 20, including four vehicle crashes, 24 citizen assists, five animal problems, two suicidal people, a grass fire and a vehicle fire, three search-and-rescues, a theft, nine traffic complaints, seven welfare checks, 30 vehicle identification number inspections and 24 urinalyses.

The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office reported 214 calls from Aug. 14 to Aug. 20, including four vehicle crashes, 24 citizen assists, five animal problems, two suicidal people, a grass fire and a vehicle fire, three search-and-rescues, a theft, nine traffic complaints, seven welfare checks, 30 vehicle identification number inspections and 24 urinalyses.

Aug. 14

At 7:22 a.m., a person collapsed on the floor.

At 8:50 a.m., a citizen reported a protection order violation.

At 9:52 a.m., a man asked a deputy to check on someone’s welfare.

At 10:01 a.m., a detective emptied a prescription medicine drop box.

At 11:15 a.m., a driver collided with a telephone pole.

At 11:30 a.m., a man reported an earlier accident.

At 11:33 a.m., a black Volkswagen parked without a handicap sign.

At 11:36 a.m., a man said two horses were tied to a tree with feed out of reach. The family had an emergency and were heading back when a deputy contacted them.

At 12:29 p.m., a black hatchback was swerving and passing at a high speed; the driver was not intoxicated.

At 12:40 p.m., a van and a truck collided when a driver slammed on the brakes to go into a pullout.

At 1:12 p.m., Pinedale staff dealt with a parking problem.

At 1:18 p.m., a Ford F150 sideswiped a Honda Pilot.

At 1:39 p.m., a man reported a theft.

At 2:59 p.m., two hounds were wandering along the highway.

At 4:05 p.m., a speeding black Subaru spun out rounding a corner.

At 4:11 p.m., a shop employee called to find out who owned a dropped-off trailer.

At 4:58 p.m., a Teton County dispatcher said a suicidal person was possibly driving toward Bondurant. A Teton County deputy found the person and canceled the call.

At 6:30 p.m., a property owner received notice of a sex offender living nearby.

At 8:36 p.m., a man asking to be repaid said the borrower began threatening him. It is a civil issue.

At 11:56 p.m., a child pushing buttons set off a bedroom panic alarm.

Aug. 15

At 1:51 a.m., a person had trouble breathing.

At 4:31 a.m., a dead deer was on Highway 191 between the Hoback Rim and Bondurant.

At 5:39 a.m., a man complained about big trucks parked and running at a hotel.

At 7:48 a.m., a woman was worried about a big bull moose trying to cross the highway; it crossed safely.

At 9:42 a.m., a suspicious 911 came in with a man calling someone a psychopath. The dispatcher called back and a woman hung up.

At 9:47 a.m., a Tesla was reportedly tailgating and passing unsafely. The driver of the Ford Mustang was cited for speeding.

At 10:46 a.m., a propane tank in the road was a traffic hazard.

At 10:55 a.m., neighbors argued after one trespassed; the owner wanted to report what the two said to each other.

At 10:56 a.m., a man reported a suspicious circumstance.

At 1:32 p.m., a motorcycle crashed on Highway 191 at Potato Corner and the driver was taken to St. John’s Medical Center. Wyoming Highway Patrol investigated the crash.

At 1:52 p.m., a Pinedale employee gave a temporary parking permit for a hiker’s small camper that would be parked for several weeks.

At 3:04 p.m., a side-by-side owner agreed to display her plate.

At 3:20 p.m., a man was worried about horses and mules without water; the owners gave them more water.

At 4 p.m., a detective made an instant background check to release a firearm.

At 4:09 p.m., a woman was concerned about a person’s welfare.

At 6:28 p.m., a deputy assisted with a juvenile-related call.

At 7:41 p.m., Tip Top Search and Rescue’s helicopter picked up an ill hiker and took them to the Pinedale clinic.

At 8:53 p.m., a caller reported an unattended bonfire. Sublette County Unified Fire responded and the landowners were warned about fire dangers.

At 10:02 p.m., a woman asked a deputy to check on someone’s welfare.

Aug. 16

At 1:52 a.m., Sublette County EMS responded to a medical emergency in LaBarge.

At 7:31 a.m., a deputy checked on an empty car at CCC Ponds that belonged to a hiker.

At 7:59 a.m., deputies provided traffic control for a rancher’s hay swather that took up the whole road while being moved.

At 8:49 a.m., a woman driving a tractor said two local delivery trucks almost hit her. The call was transferred to WHP.

At 9:13 a.m., an employer asked for a deputy’s presence while firing a longtime employee.

At 11:14 a.m., a legal group’s employee asked to speak with a deputy about some children.

At 12:54 p.m., an inmate was taken to the clinic.

At 1:21 p.m., a Chevy Silverado almost ran drivers off the road; the call was transferred to WHP.

At 1:40 p.m., a woman discovered someone used her name and Social Security number to run up a past-due $900 power bill.

At 2:02 p.m., a man asked if a deputy could meet and talk to kids about riding dirt bikes in an 8-foot pipeline trench.

At 4:55 p.m., a woman asked for assistance with a child-custody issue.

At 7:52 p.m., a family dispute was reported.

At 8:27 p.m., a Daniel resident complained about a construction company’s hours of 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

At 9:32 p.m., a restaurant employee was concerned about a woman’s ability to drive; she has a medical condition and was not intoxicated.

At 9:39 p.m., a suspicious woman walked into an RV camp; she lives in the area.

Aug. 17

At 2:36 a.m., a person with suicidal thoughts called a counselor.

At 4:22 a.m., deputies checked the person with suicidal thoughts.

At 7:31 a.m., a woman was concerned about her son, who was starting school that morning, in a custody issue.

At 9:32 am., a Department of Family Services employee asked about a person.

At 9:33 a.m., a woman asked a deputy to check on a person’s welfare.

At 12:28 p.m., a field services employee was worried about kids on dirt bikes riding in the pipeline construction area west of Big Piney.

At 12:30 p.m., a person selling an expensive item on Facebook wanted to check if the Sublette County buyer is legit.

At 1:09 p.m., the Texas Department of Family Protective Services asked for assistance with a juvenile-related issue.

At 1:10 p.m., a man reported a dozen horses and mules being out of water. The animal control officer checked and found they have a 75-gallon autofill water trough.

At 1:38 p.m., an agency checking on a client requested a deputy’s help.

At 2:02 p.m., a driver hit one of several green bags in the highway and saw a powdery substance.  They held a nontoxic landscaping substance.

At 2:04 p.m., a silver Toyota pulling a small camper passed on a blind corner and almost hit two cars.

At 2:33 p.m., a man talked to a deputy about threats.

At 5:11 p.m., what a woman thought was a gas can by the skate park was actually a plant waterer.

At 5:24 p.m., a person was bleeding from a laceration.

At 6:57 p.m., a patient fell out of his wheelchair and injured his nose.

At 7:54 p.m., a woman called about a child-custody issue.

Aug. 18

At 6:21 a.m., a burglar alarm went off.

At 6:22 a.m., a roadside assistance company was trying to help clients but in 15 hours hadn’t found anyone to respond. A deputy found the vacant vehicle parked and locked on a highway pullout.

At 7:51 a.m., a man asked a deputy to check on someone’s welfare.

At 9:29 a.m., a landlord said renters hadn’t paid utilities; this is a civil issue.

At 11:41 a.m., a shuttle driver received a call from someone who sounded out of it; the person has a speech impediment.

At 12:18 p.m., a black Hyundai went recklessly through town.

At 1:42 p.m., a blue tailgating semi passed in a turn lane.

At 1:47 p.m., a small white Chevy truck was all over the road.

At 2:19 p.m., a cow was on the highway.

At 3:52 p.m., a vehicle’s load of hay was on fire.

At 8:14 p.m., a woman wearing a yellow vest was in the middle of the highway near the fairgrounds; a company was moving construction supplies without a sign.

At 10:47 p.m., a WHP trooper asked a deputy to help with a traffic stop.

Aug. 19

At 9:07 a.m., one vehicle T-boned another one pulling out of a gas station.

At 10:46 a.m., a white Dodge that passed the caller stopped in the middle of the road.

At 1:18 p.m., a woman asked a deputy to check on someone’s welfare.

At 1:29 p.m., a summer tenant complained about the dust from people spinning out in a river access parking lot.

At 2:23 p.m., a deputy helped with a citizen dispute over transferring keys and/or a vehicle.

At 8:32 p.m., a drunk driver couldn’t walk from a gas pump to his truck; a deputy couldn’t find the vehicle.

At 11:16 p.m., one large bull was in the middle of the road.

Aug. 20

At 7:28 a.m., a silver Porsche was all over the road; the driver was not intoxicated.

At 7:54 a.m., a man coming to repossess his equipment wanted to meet a deputy and prove his ownership.

At 8:38 a.m., a medical emergency was reported.

At 9:15 a.m., a mother had not heard from a son who climbed Gannett Peak and was coming out of the mountains Friday. The hiker was okay and contacted his mother.

At 10:15 a.m., a business owner had water bubbling up inside the store.

At 10:21 a.m., a hiker in the Winds was walking to her truck to meet up with her group; she was okay and contacted her mother.

At 10:34 a.m., a stray white dog kept crossing the road.

At 10:43 a.m., a dispute started over a man repossessing equipment.

At 11:33 a.m., a hiker came across a camp with loose dogs and horses with a possible emergency; Tip Top waited for more information.

At 12:43 p.m., a woman told her son and friend to clean up their vandalism mess and said the other mother threatened her.

At 5:05 p.m., a woman found an older stray German shepherd.

At 7:55 p.m., five dogs barked constantly day and night.

At 8 p.m., a door motion alarm went off.

At 8:50 p.m., a woman expected her husband home from the mountains and couldn’t reach him. The hikers were fine and a Tip Top volunteer called the wife.

At 10:33 p.m., a deputy reported a bond violation.

At 10:43 p.m., a caller was worried about a friend hiking the Continental Divide Trail who didn’t make it to base camp with the others. Tip Top continued working on this.
