Wilma Lee Davis
May 8, 1936 — May 16, 2024

Wilma Lee Davis was born May 8, 1936, in Pinedale, Wyo.  She was the firstborn child to Bill and Magdalene (Toots) Bloom. Wilma grew up on the Bloom Ranch on the Green River along with a brother, Bill Bloom Jr., and a sister, Bonnie Bloom Alexander.

Wilma attended a rural school on the ranch until seventh grade. S he attended Wasatch Academy in Mt. Pleasant, Utah, for three years and finished high school in Pinedale.

After completing her requirements in airline training school, she met the love of her life, Tuffy, and they were married on April 20, 1955.

They moved to the Fredell Ranch owned by the Norris family, where they lived in an old house with a dirt roof and floor without indoor plumbing. Tad, their oldest son was born on Nov. 21, 1957.  Holly, their second child, was born on Jan. 11, 1958. Tim, born April 5, 1962, completed the family.  The house was upgraded to a single-wide trailer with indoor plumbing and a clothesline! The type of house never mattered, Wilma always made it a clean and cozy home.

Wilma was a nurturing mother. Tad was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes at age 5, requiring extra time and effort from Wilma, but she still enjoyed working on the ranch with Tuffy.

Occasionally she worked at Helen’s Shop, a clothing store in town. She loved to cook and sew.  She made the best homemade bread and candy.

Wilma passed peacefully in her home on May 16.

She is survived by her brother Bill Bloom, sister Bonnie Alexander (Kip), daughter Holly Davis (Saul), son Tim, grandson Wacey, and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by Bill and Toots Bloom, Tuffy Davis and Tad Davis.

A celebration of life is planned for May 25 at 11:30 a.m., at the Marbleton Senior Center.
