Warren James Platts, 63, of Brookville, Pennsylvania, died Nov. 1, 2026.
Born Jan. 7, 1963, in Japan to James and Daphny Platts, Warren was a U.S. Navy veteran, scholar, philosopher, father, grandfather and a true jack-of-all-trades. A man of endless curiosity and an independent spirit, his life was one of winding roads, unconventional choices and an unwavering desire to follow his own path.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy McElhinny; daughter, Miranda Platts, and son-in-law, Chance Shelton; grandchildren, Milo and Evelyn; brothers, Joel and Scott Platts; and close friend Andrew Stark, whom he considered a brother.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial arrangements will be announced at a later date.
