Timothy Lee Murphy was born in Evanston, Wyo., to Wilma and Edward Murphy. He was the youngest of three sons. He spent his whole life in Marbleton. He graduated from Big Piney High School in 1980.
When he was young, Tim helped his dad build many of the original roads in Sublette County. Later, he worked in the oilfield and was employed with the town of Marbleton upon his death.
In 2001, Tim married his wife Lyn. They spent 24 years together.
Tim loved to hunt and fish. He was a rockhound, rode motorcycles and he always had time to talk to the kids.
Tim is survived by his wife, Lyn, his brother, Vaughn, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, grandchildren, and two rotten dogs.
Everything he did was amazing. He was a teacher by example and taught good work ethics, kindness and moral integrity. His quiet strength will be missed and remembered forever.
A memorial will be held at 2 p.m. on March 28 at the Marbleton Senior Center.
