Rev. Lonnie Ray Williams passed on Nov. 3, at the age of 91. He was born on Feb. 14, 1934, in Asher, Okla. He grew up in Atwater, Calif. He served 20 years in the United States Air Force, including tours in Korea, Thailand and Germany.
In 1957, he married his first wife, Opal Chappell (now deceased). They had four children: Sharon, Ray, Tim and Tabitha.
In 2009, Lonnie married Carol Harrington. He graduated from Trinity Bible College in 1981 and served in several states as a pastor. He pastored in Marbleton, Wyo., at the Assembly of God Church for many years with his wife, Opal. He also was a school bus driver for Sublette County Schools and received special recognition for outstanding service to the students.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Williams; sister, Reba Coatney; brother, Floyd Williams; his four children, two stepchildren, and 26 grand, great-, and great-great-grandchildren.
