Ray Gene Kothe
May 15, 1970 - February 17, 2025
Ray Gene Kothe grew up in LaBarge and Big Piney, Wyoming, and after graduating from high school, he pursued his passion for automobiles by attending WyoTech, where he studied auto body repair.
Throughout his life, Gene worked a variety of jobs, most recently as an employee at Wal-Mart. His true passion, however, was all things mechanical. He loved working on cars, understanding how things functioned, and sharing his knowledge with those around him. Gene was also known for his love of family, often spending quality time with his loved ones and always ready to lend a helping hand.
He was a man of immense kindness and generosity, always putting the needs of others before his own. Gene took great pride in improving the daily lives of those he loved, and his caring nature left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
Gene is survived by his wife, Kerry; his son, William, daughter-in-law, Angel; his daughter, Ashley and her fiancé, Sam; his granddaughter, Madysn; his mother, Wilma; and his siblings, Nadine, Lillie, Andrew, and Toni. He was preceded in death by his father, William John Kothe, and his brother, William Martin Kothe.
His passing has left a void in our hearts, but his memory will forever be cherished. We are all better for having known him, and we will miss him dearly.
A celebration of Gene’s life will be held at a later date.
