Norma was born Jan. 2, 1936, in Malta, Mont., to Gladys Lafond and Russell Beck. She grew up in Salt Lake City and graduated from Cyprus High School. She lived a life with her family in very humble beginnings.
Norma was a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a strong love for the gospel and its teachings.

Norma retired from the government after many years of service and still raised a beautiful family and created a beautiful home wherever she was.
She had a love for animals, the outdoors and all the beautiful things it presented. Most of all she loved family and being with them.
She is survived by her husband Joe, children Craig, Shauna and John. She had eight grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and one sister, Fern Long.
