PINEDALE – Wyoming Game and Fish officials have captured and relocated a third grizzly bear from outside Pinedale in as many weeks.
The latest, a sub-female grizzly, was captured for killing cattle on a grazing allotment north of Pinedale. The bear was relocated on July 23 to the Five Mile Creek drainage approximately 5 miles from the east entrance of Yellowstone National Park.
That’s where an adult male grizzly was relocated to on July 14, following confirmation it killed cattle on a grazing allotment north of Pinedale.
On July 11, Game and Fish captured a sub-adult male grizzly while mitigating cattle depredation north of Pinedale. That grizzly, which was captured out of proximity without a known incident of killing cattle, was relocated to Long Creek drainage about 14 miles northwest of Dubois.
