The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office reported 171 calls from Jan. 3 to Jan. 9, including at least seven collisions, an electrical hazard, a gas leak, one gunshot wound, 21 motorist assists, five suspicious incidents, seven traffic hazards, three welfare checks, 24 urinalyses and 22 vehicle identification number inspections.

The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office reported 171 calls from Jan. 3 to Jan. 9, including at least seven collisions, an electrical hazard, a gas leak, one gunshot wound, 21 motorist assists, five suspicious incidents, seven traffic hazards, three welfare checks, 24 urinalyses and 22 vehicle identification number inspections.

Jan. 3

At 7:56 a.m., a gun fell out of the owner’s pocket and shot them in the leg.

At 9:38 a.m., a citizen asked what to do about junk in a neighbor’s yard.

At 9:59 a.m., a man was trying to get his truck back from a woman he loaned it to more than six months ago, even hiring someone to repossess it.

At 11:30 a.m., a dark Suburban stuck on top of the Hoback Rim was in a bad spot.

At 11:45 a.m., a neighbor’s dog was constantly barking.

At 12:14 p.m., a woman wondered why she was denied a firearm and learned felons can’t own or carry guns in Wyoming.

At 12:48 p.m., a landlord wanted to clean out a cabin but learned the tenant was reported as a missing person; he is no longer missing so it is a civil issue.

At 3:15 p.m., a woman reported lost property.

At 5:11 p.m., a woman saw a dead moose calf and asked about harvesting roadkill.

At 5:18 p.m., a woman said a neighbor was threatening her ; the dispute was about snow removal.

At 6:04 p.m., a dead deer was in the middle of the highway.

At 8:34 p.m., a neighbor was playing loud music again.

Jan. 4

At 12:43 a.m., a semi slid off the road.

At 7:28 a.m., an injured deer near Bondurant needed to be put down.

At 7:39 a.m., a person picked up a stray dog on Pine Street.

At 8:04 a.m., a southbound semi was stuck trying to get over the Hoback Rim.

At 9:03 a.m., a glass truck went off the road.

At 9:26 a.m., the K9 drug dog made a search.

At 9:34 a.m., a driver needed help on Dell Creek Road.

At 10:20 a.m., a man reported an accident from four days earlier.

At 11:06 a.m., a business reported check fraud.

At 11:41 a.m., Safe2Tell sent an anonymous text.

At 2:40 p.m., a Utah woman was worried about her daughter.

At 3:08 p.m., a detective served an arrest warrant.

At 5:39 p.m., a deer lying in the highway was a traffic hazard.

At 7:51 p.m., a deputy was asked to check on someone’s welfare.

At 9:18 p.m., a person with slurred speech called 911.

At 2:56 a.m., a person had breathing problems.

At 3:50 a.m., a neighbor’s dogs barked long enough to wake people.

At 7:33 a.m., a deer was stuck in a fence.

At 8:26 a.m., a yellow car stopped in the lane of travel.

At 10:25 a.m., a white van was stuck.

At 12:22 p.m., shower steam set off a fire alarm near a bathroom.

At 12:51 p.m., a driver was trying to dig out a stuck black sedan.

At 1:46 p.m., a man asked a deputy for a civil standby.

At 2:02 p.m., a person had information for a deputy.

At 2:22 p.m., a silver car slid off Ehman Lane.

At 2:28 p.m., a white Dodge truck with a plow was driving dangerously.

At 3:52 p.m., a woman asked a deputy to check on someone’s welfare.

At 5:31 p.m., the driver of a southbound commercial truck tried to put on chains in the middle of the highway.

At 6:38 p.m., a person smelled a gas leak from propane heaters.

Jan. 6

At 12:28 a.m., a dealership’s garage door was open.

At 7:02 a.m., a woman said her husband hadn’t returned the night before from grooming trails for the state in the Horse Creek. She couldn’t reach him and asked if his truck was still at the parking lot. Search and rescue found him safe 5 miles up the trail; his equipment had broken down.

At 7:02 a.m., a caller was worried about a white van stuck in the ditch.

At 8:07 a.m., three cars were pulled over and a deputy was checking out the situation.

At 8:34 a.m., a person reported abdominal pain.

At 9:19 a.m., a person smelled burning after water came out of a fire alarm; Sublette County Unified Fire responded.

At 10:22 a.m., an illness was reported.

At 10:42 a.m., a white SUV was sitting in the middle of the road.

At 3:17 p.m., a jackknifed semi wasn’t blocking the road.

At 3:17 p.m., a passenger vehicle was high-centered.

At 5:31 p.m., a dead puppy was in the middle of the road.

At 5:34 p.m., a semi was blocking traffic on Pine Street.

At 7:27 p.m., a hotel owner said his new manager couldn’t get the old manager to leave his room.

At 7:48 p.m., a burglar alarm went off.

Jan. 7

At 9:05 a.m., a town employee found personal property.

At 9:43 a.m., a caller asked about a dog strangled in a snare.

At 10:16 a.m., a small paint draft horse got in with a man’s horses.

At 10:27 a.m., a woman was scammed on Facebook and closed her account but was getting threatening messages now.

At 1:39 p.m., a man was in a dually with a 40-foot trailer; he got lost the night before, got unstuck from a snowbank, had a flat tire and couldn’t make it up a hill. He had a quarter-tank of fuel and little food or water.

At 2:17 p.m., a caller had information for an investigation.

At 2:56 p.m., the man trying to get his truck back since April back said the woman hid it in a garage and this was his fourth attempt to report it stolen. Because he once gave her permission to drive it, it is a civil issue.

At 3:11 p.m., a woman called about a juvenile matter.

At 4:54 p.m., a man saw flashing lights off the road.

At 10:46 p.m., a person reported injuries.

At 11:16 p.m., a black F350 hit a moose.

Jan. 8

At 8:16 a.m., a vehicle well off the road might need a snowmachine to get to.

At 8:35 a.m., a man and his son were looking for deer when a suspicious truck passed and the man driving flipped him off; he thought it was someone he knew so he followed the truck.

At 9:58 a.m., injuries were reported.

At 10:21 a.m., LaBarge police provided a funeral escort.

At 10:43 a.m., a woman said a man dumped a lot of snow in her driveway and she couldn’t get out.

At 11:11 a.m., a deputy said a speeding vehicle passed her and wouldn’t pull over.

At 12 p.m., a truck speeded through the crosswalk’s red light.

At 4:24 p.m., a truck went off the road and through a fence.

At 5:16 p.m., a suspicious incident is under investigation.

At 5:26 p.m., a truck rolled after the driver got too far over the shoulder.

At 6:45 p.m., a car hit a moose in Kendall Valley; the driver went on up the road.

At 11:09 p.m., a deputy met with a distraught female; several people left the bar and went their separate ways.

Jan. 9

At 3:49 a.m., a front door burglar alarm went off.

At 4:25 a.m., a man late getting home went on his way after the road reopened.

At 7:26 a.m., a yellow lab and a shepherd mix were running loose.

At 9:10 a.m., a deputy helped with a clinic patient.

At 12:05 p.m., a caller reported neighbor issues at Green River Ranches about snow-plowing.

At 12:42 p.m., a person was transferred for a mental health evaluation.

At 2:52 p.m., a blue Ford F150 went off the road and hit a tree; Wyoming Highway Patrol investigated.

At 3:13 p.m., a broken sewer main flooded an empty lot.

At 6:06 p.m., an SUV slid off the road.

At 6:30 p.m., an injured baby deer needed to be put down.

At 7:12 p.m., a deputy was asked to check on a person’s welfare.

At 8:55 p.m., a suspicious juvenile-related incident was under investigation.
