A crew works on the lower ‘trunk’ of Verizen Wireless’s 55-foot-tall cell communications tower, called a ‘monopine’ because it will be disguised as an evergreen to hide antennae. The high-tech pine is situated between the Museum of the Mountain Man and the replica Crow Sundance tipi, with 35-foot poles, on ground leased to Verizon by landowner Sublette County Historical Society. The tower is expected to be completed soon to provide better 4G coverage locally with other area towers working at capacity.
