From Pinedale Fine Arts
PINEDALE – The Pinedale Fine Arts Council continued its new series of Elder Care Programs on Wednesday, Oct. 17, with “Here and Now” – A Series of Dementia Care Art Class.
Taking place every third Wednesday at the Sublette Center, the series begins at 1:30 p.m. and run two hours. It will culminate with an art show and reception in May. PFAC is launching a similar program in Big Piney focused on Cognitive Care Art Classes beginning Oct. 29.
Here and Now is a program designed to provide a supportive environment for people with dementia and their loved ones where they have a chance to experience sensory and intellectual stimulation, communicate through art and explore various art media including paint, collage and printmaking.
Mae Orm will be the featured instructor. Classes are free and class size is limited to 12 so call ahead 307-367-4161.
“Here and Now,” as well as PFAC’s full slate of Elder Care Programming, is made possible by funding from The Laura Jane Musser Fund which was established by the estate of Laura Jane Musser of Little Falls, Minn., to continue the personal philanthropy which she practiced in her lifetime. n
