Nashville’s Barefoot Movement bring Christmas cheer Dec. 6

Posted

PINEDALE – The Nashville four-piece

bluegrass band The Barefoot Movement will

perform a very special Christmas show on

Thursday, Dec. 6, at 7 p.m. in the Sheppard

Auditorium, 101 E. Hennick St.

Presented by the Pinedale Fine Arts

Council, The Barefoot Movement is a

family-friendly holiday celebration performance.

Complete with all of the classic

seasonal favorites wrapped in a Christmas

package, you’ll hear acoustic renditions of

everything from Chuck Berry’s “Run Run

Rudolph” to Perry Como’s “It’s Beginning

to Look A Lot Like Christmas” and emotional

takes on the more tender songs of the

season like “Oh Holy Night” and “Hark The

Herald Angels Sing.” Surrounded by stories

and Christmas memories from the band, the

music and cheer will fill attendees with an

enduring feeling of love and hope that will

warm hearts throughout the year.

The Barefoot Movement, 2014 International

Bluegrass Music Awards Band of

the Year Momentum Award winner, draws

from styles of bluegrass, folk, acoustic rock

and Americana. “With original songs, impressive

instrumentation, and interweaving

harmonies, this band converges old and new

into a style all its own,” according to a review

in the Del Mar Times.
