PINEDALE – Ghosts, ghouls, witches, wizards, pirates, princesses and pumpkins of all shapes and ages can start counting down the dark spooky nights for special Halloween happenings that start next week around the county.

Tuesday, Oct. 24

  • The Pinedale Library hosts a special Masquerade Book Tasting for kids and teens, 4-5 p.m. in the Lovatt Room, with making masquerade ball masks and hidden-book tastings planned. 

Wednesday, Oct. 25

  • The Pinedale Library’s preschool storytime at 11 a.m. includes a trick-or-treat trip to county offices in the Sublette County Courthouse.
  • The Big Piney Library hosts its teen pumpkin carving contest, 3:30-6:30 p.m., with prizes! Pumpkins are provided!

Thursday, Oct. 26

  • It’s time again for The Haunting, 7-9 p.m. at the Pinedale Aquatic Center. Entry is $5 for kids 8 and older, to benefit the PAC scholarship fund. The PAC closes at 1 p.m.
  • Bring your creatively decorated jack o’ lanterns to the Marbleton Town Hall for tomorrow night’s Pumpkin Walk. If you need a pumpkin, pick one up at the Marbleton Town Hall or the Big Piney Rec Center.

Friday, Oct. 27

  • Marbleton’s annual Pumpkin Walk takes place in the town hall parking lot from 6-8 p.m.
  • The Haunting, 7-9 p.m. at the Pinedale Aquatic Center. Entry is $5 for kids 8 and older, to benefit the PAC scholarship fund. The PAC closes at 1 p.m. 

Saturday, Oct. 28

  • “Howl and Growl” pets and people costume party, noon, at the Happy Endings Animal Rescue (HEAR) yellow garage, 107 S. Fremont, Pinedale. Best dog, best cat, best owner/best pet costume contests, K9 trick or treat, bobbing for treats! Call 307-360-6000. 

Sunday, Oct. 29

  • Bondurant Community Club’s annual Trunk or Treat Halloween Party at 3 p.m., followed by chili dinner and pumpkin decorating contest (BYOPumpkin) at the Bondurant Library and St. Hubert’s Episcopal Church.

Monday, Oct. 30

  • Big Piney Halloween Carnival, 4-6 p.m. with toys, games and costume contest at the Big Piney Rec Center; $3 entry. All ages welcome! Volunteers needed to set up, work game stations and clean up.

Tuesday, Oct. 31

Happy Halloween!!

  • Spook Alley, 4-6 p.m. Halloween free fun for families of elementary kids and younger at the Pinedale Aquatic Center.
  • Sublette Chamber’s Trick or Treat at participating downtown Pinedale businesses, 4-6 p.m. Look for the special pumpkin signs!
  • Sublette Center’s 26th annual Safe Trick or Treat Nite, 5-6:30 p.m. at 333 Bridger Ave., Pinedale. Donations being accepted.
  • “Haunted House” at the Big Piney Library, 5-7 p.m. All ages welcome!
  • All Hallows’ Gym, 6-8 p.m. archery tag and coed volleyball at the Big Piney Rec Center. Grades 6+, $5 entry.
