Our mother left to live with Jesus on Sept. 24, 2017.

Carol Yvonne Graham was born Oct. 18, 1933, to Fred and Stella Sophrona (Hibben) Graham in Kemmerer, Wyoming. In 1952 she married Mark Schupman and to this marriage five sons were born: Bob (Teri), Doug (Krista), Wes, Russ (Kathy) and Scott (Pam). After the death of Mark, she married Dell May in 1969. Dell brought two daughters into the marriage, Debbie (Danny) Brown and Susan Farrell.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Stella Sophrona Graham, two brothers, George and Virgil Graham, Mark Schupman, Dell May and one son, Bob Schupman. She is survived by one sister, Martha (Bill) Saunders, sons Doug, Wes, Russ, Scott and two daughters, Debbie and Susan.

Carol was special to each person she encountered in ways that many never knew. She walked many mountains and ranges, enjoyed ocean waves and beaches, traveled near and far and raised a dynamic family. As a young girl, she experienced the homestead life of a pioneer woman with her sister Martha. In her adult life, she blended two families together and created a legacy: a family made up of five adventurous sons, two unique daughters, 17 adored grandchildren, 27 delightful great-grandchildren and one precious great-grandson. Grandma took time to crochet something special for everyone in her life and bless each of her grandchildren with many gifts and plentiful blankets. She always had great stories to share and made time for anyone she encountered. She enjoyed swimming, crocheting, traveling and family. Her journey has been tough these last few years and her love of crocheting helped her through. Her strength was enormous and her wit flawless. Thankfully she is celebrating with the two loves of her life, Mark Schupman and Dell May, and rejoicing with her eldest son, Robert “Bob” Schupman. May her days be filled with music, dancing and plentiful yarn for her newest creations in heaven.

A celebration of life will take place next summer when her loved ones can gather in Bondurant, Wyoming.
