PINEDALE – The Pinedale Fine Arts Council’s (PFAC) Soundcheck Summer Music Series continues tonight with Boulder, Colo., bluegrass band The Railsplitters. Local alt-country supergroup, The Boom and The Bust, will open the free show, which starts at 5 p.m. in American Legion Park.
Friday night’s show coincides with PFAC’s fourth annual Kids Summer Arts Camp, which started on Monday and will wrap up in grand fashion as the 20-plus camp kids perform during set break at the show.
“It’s always a blast to mix our Summer Art Camp with our Soundcheck Series,” PFAC Marketing/Outreach Director Tim Ruland said. “Last year, the camp kids set the bar pretty high so we’re really excited to see what they do this year.”
Though they operate with the instrumentation of a bluegrass band, The Railsplitters are making music totally unlimited by tradition.
Opening the show will be Pinedale alt-country four-piece The Boom and the Bust, which features singer/songwriters Nathan Curry and Michelle Humber – two organic story tellers who delve deep into roots of the dirty south and untamed West.
