16-year-old dies in Thursday crash

Cause is under investigation

PINEDALE – Jase Jacobson, 16, died Thursday, March 1, following a vehicle crash eight miles south of Pinedale on highway 191.

According to Wyoming Highway Patrol Lt. Klief Guenther, the youth was southbound about 9:25 p.m. when he drove off the road. The 1993 F150 Ford pickup was airborne and started to turn, colliding with a tree on the passenger side door.

The youth, a resident of Barger subdivision, was not buckled and died at the scene. Trooper Jason Moller is investigating if impaired driving was a factor in the crash.
