WYOMING – Wyoming’s unemployment rate dropped in September while Sublette County retained one of the state’s highest unemployment rates.
The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services Research & Planning section reported the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate ticked down to 4.5 percent from 4.9 percent the previous month. That still falls below the national rate of 4.8 percent.
Sublette County joined Campbell and Sweetwater with unemployment rates of 3.4 percent. Natrona County had the state’s highest rate of 3.7 percent.
As typical for this time of year, the unemployment rate fell in every county as students and faculty returned to schools across the state.
