The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office reported 172 incidents from Oct. 20 through Oct. 26, including two DUIs involving alcohol or drugs, three livestock problems, nine motorist assists, a bond violation, an instance of vandalism, a fireworks call, three traffic complaints, one medical emergency, an overdose, seven animal problems, 11 suspicious persons/circumstances, two civil standbys, five information reports, 12 citizen assists, 47 urinalyses and 22 vehicle identification number inspections.

 

Oct. 20

At 1:55 a.m.,  two vehicles were in the middle of the highway.

At 9 a.m., a deputy assisted with a Sheriff’s Bill of Sale.

At 9:41 a.m., a man wanted to speak to an animal control officer about an ongoing dog problem.

At 9:55 a.m., a man traveling from Jackson wanted to let deputies know that the sun was reflecting off the ice on the road near the Rim, potentially blinding drivers.

At 10:41 a.m., a woman in the lobby wanted to speak with a deputy.

At 11:07 a.m., a caller found two stray cats by their house.

At 12:56 p.m., a dog was running loose.

At 1:48 p.m., trash on the road was a hazard.

At 3:21 p.m., a motorist needed assistance.

At 4:17 p.m., a yearling moose had Christmas lights wrapped around it.

At 4:23 p.m., the driver of a flatbed hauling a white Tahoe or Bronco was swerving all over the road.

At 4:44 p.m., a deputy requested information while on a traffic stop.

At 4:55 p.m., three feral kittens were captured.

At 6:20 p.m., a woman fell and hit her head.

At 7:24 p.m., a Subaru had its emergency lights on.

At 9:23 p.m., a FedEx driver struck and killed a deer.

 

Oct. 21

At 12:20 a.m., a caller reported a suspicious vehicle with Nevada plates parked across from their house.

At 7:11 a.m., a 911 call was a hangup.

At 8:42 a.m., an alarm was unfounded.

At 9:43 a.m., two vehicles broke down north of Big Piney.

At 9:54 a.m., an agency requested information for a background check.

At 10:05 a.m., Skyline Academy did not respond to a SchoolSafe check.
At 12:02 p.m., a woman wanted to make a report related to an active case in San Francisco.

At 12:37 p.m., a person was sick.

At 2:26 p.m., a warrant was served.

At 2:27 p.m., the driver of a white Subaru needed assistance.

At 2:47 p.m., a man hadn’t heard from his friend in three days.

At 3:12 p.m., a person working pocket-dialed 911.

At 4:19 p.m., a man requested a civil standby.
At 4:41 p.m., the SCSO reported a bond violation.

At 6:33 p.m., a man reported vandalism.

At 7:14 p.m., a person driving down Calpet Road spotted a well on fire.

At 7:17 p.m., two vehicles collided.
At 8:49 p.m., a driver for FedEx hit a deer.

At 9:24 p.m., a 911 call was accidental.

 

Oct. 22

At 4:34 a.m., a cow was in the middle of the road.

At 6:35 a.m., a person might be having a heart attack.

At 9:37 a.m., a sprinter van was stalled on the side of the road.

At 9:39 a.m., an agency reported an upset client.

At 11:23 a.m., a neighbor’s front door had been open since yesterday. A deputy cleared and secured the house, believing that the wind blew the door open.

At 1:01 p.m., a woman in the lobby dropped off paperwork. A deputy took paperwork to the jail, as it was the property of an inmate.

At 1:16 p.m., a woman who lost her AirPods tracked them to Fremont Lake Lodge and to a private residence.

At 2:50 p.m., a woman reported someone blew through a stop sign and struck the rear end of her vehicle.

At 2:55 p.m., someone discovered a barrel at Fremont Lake. It was part of the old boat dock.

At 3:11 p.m., a property watch was requested.

At 3:15 p.m., an alarm was unfounded.

At 3:35 p.m., a vehicle struck a deer.

At 4:11 p.m., a bay horse was on the side of the highway.

At 5:45 p.m., a deputy helped load a patient into a vehicle to be taken to the clinic.

At 8:13 p.m., a Ford F150 struck a moose.

At 8:49 p.m., the driver of a gold Subaru seemed like he was on drugs.

At 9:39 p.m., the driver of a Penske truck ran out of fuel at the Elkhorn. A bar patron assisted him with some fuel.

 

Oct. 23

At 9:53 a.m., a woman struck and killed a deer with her vehicle.

At 9:59 a.m., a man involved in a crash a while back had questions.

At 10:04 a.m., SCSO deployed its drone.

At 10:15 a.m., a man received a check in the mail for $10,000 and reported it as fraud.

At 10:51 a.m., a dog kept chasing llamas.

At 11:52 a.m., glass was scatted on Pine Street.

At 12:01 p.m., a woman reported a small dark blue sedan sitting at an intersection. A female was standing outside of the car.

At 12:23 p.m., an overdose was reported.
At 1:53 p.m., the Sheridan Police Department requested to speak to a deputy regarding someone who provided invalid insurance information following a collision.

At 4:18 p.m., a caller could see smoke increasing in the wilderness.

At 5:44 p.m., a person fell over and passed out.

At 6 p.m., the driver of a black Jeep Wrangler struck and killed a deer.

At 6:33 p.m., a caller thought she heard gunshots.

At 7:48 p.m., the driver of a red Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck was swerving all over the road and almost caused a head-on collision.

At 8:17 p.m., a dead deer was on the side of the road.

At 8:52 p.m., a woman reported someone had her fanny pack containing all her important documents and belongings.

At 10:57 p.m., a person with a medical emergency was being transported via a private vehicle.

 

Oct. 24

At 4:51 a.m., three people dressed in Halloween costumes reached through a woman’s cat door and knocked over a piece of equipment.
At 7:46 a.m., a vehicle struck a deer, and it was still alive.

At 9:49 a.m., a traffic stop was initiated.

At 10:24 a.m., a landlord requested a civil standby while papers were served to a tenant.

At 11:08 a.m., an employer reported someone who wrote fraudulent checks from their business and tried to cash them in Rock Springs.
At 11:27 a.m., a caller claimed a local man had some of their brother’s belongings, including two vehicles, an air compressor, and horse panels that were left to them in their brother’s will.

At 12:59 p.m., kids were being bullied.

At 3:53 p.m., a deputy put some loose cows back in their fence.

At 7:14 p.m., found property was reported.
At 8:31 p.m., a caller requested a civil standby while they served eviction paperwork.
At 10:46 p.m., a warrant was served.

 

 

Oct. 25

At 7:21 a.m., a RapidSOS notification was accidental.
At 8:58 a.m., the driver of a Ford Expedition struck a deer.

At 12:02 p.m., two trucks were trespassing.

At 2:03 p.m., a man was woken up to the sound of his neighbor beating his dog.

At 2:16 p.m., an information report was received.

At 3:11 p.m., a woman hadn’t heard from her dad, who was out hunting.

At 3:17 p.m., a white semi was pulling two trailers that weren’t properly attached.

At 3:22 p.m., a possibly intoxicated man called looking for his dog and then hung up.

At 3:30 p.m., a woman wasn’t sure what to do with a loose dog she picked up.

At 6:04 p.m., found property was reported.

At 6:07 p.m., a person was having a stroke.

At 8:48 p.m., a man wearing a mask knocked on someone’s door.

At 9:48 p.m., a 911 call was a hangup.

 

Oct. 26

At 5:20 a.m., a passenger car had its hazard lights on.

At 8:12 a.m., a person died.

At 11:20 a.m., a 911 call was accidental.

At 4:07 p.m., a man asked for a neighbor’s music to be turned down.

At 4:45 p.m., a driver was arrested for DUI.

At 7:50 p.m., a driver was arrested for DUI.

At 1:45 p.m., a woman reported someone had been launching fireworks for the last 15 minutes.
