PINEDALE — Sublette County School District 1 is excited to announce the adoption of a 4-day school week, beginning with the 2025–2026 academic year. This forward-thinking transition reflects the district’s commitment to student success, parent and educator support, and innovative approaches to learning.
The transition to a 4-day week is projected to bring several key benefits, including:
• Deeper learning and student engagement: The revised schedule allows for increased focused instruction, project-based learning, and individualized support, leading to increased student engagement and academic growth.
• Increased family and enrichment time: The extended weekend offers students more time for family activities, extracurricular pursuits, community involvement, and rest — supporting their overall development.
Sublette County School District 1 understands the importance of a smooth transition and has developed a plan to address potential challenges. This plan includes:
• Thoughtful scheduling: Instructional time will be preserved, and in some cases enhanced, through longer, more effective class periods that meet or exceed state requirements.
