Posted

PINEDALE — On Saturday, June 16, Sublette BOCES and Maureen “Mo” Hutchinson hosted a hands-on seminar with representatives from the American Red Cross about how to set up and provide Sublette County with an emergency shelter in case of disaster.
Presenting the training were senior disaster program manager, Eric Oubre of the American Red Cross in Cheyenne, and Kimberly Brandt of American Red Cross Disaster Services in Jackson. Oubre said the training in Pinedale was the bestattended in Wyoming, so far.
The training aims to educate and raise awareness in the community about sheltering mass care needs and is also an opportunity for emergency management to recruit volunteers.
Red Cross also provides further trainings in hands only CPR and how to become “Red Cross Ready.”
