Greetings to all my friends and people I represent in Sublette County. I feel like I have represented all corners of Sublette County. I have been a commissioner for six years and have two more in this session.
What I am writing to you about is the idea of going from five to three commissioners. I am very much against this. The school board, hospital board, rec board, weed & pest board, and the town councils all have five members, just to mention a few.
There is too much going on in Sublette County to go backwards on anything. If we were to go back to three, some parts of the county would never be represented again. We would be better off to go to four districts, with each having a representative and one at-large commissioner. Lincoln County is voting to go from three to five.
I’m not telling you how to vote, but put a lot of thought into this before you make your decision.
