PINEDALE — Pinedale High School’s Nordic and Alpine skiers had a busy weekend playing in the powder in Pinedale and the Snowy Range Ski Area. Results are below.

Holly Pinedale Nordic Ski Invitational

The White Pine Nordic Ski Center hosted the Holly Pinedale Invitational, two days of cross-country skiing on Friday, Jan. 19, and Saturday, Jan. 20. Friday began with the 5.5K skate or freestyle race for varsity Nordic skiers. On Saturday, skiers took on the 7.5K classic competition. The Pinedale girls’ team came in eighth place with 58 team points, beating out Jackson. The PHS boys’ team secured 25 points to beat Cody. Other schools that competed included Lander, Laramie, Natrona County, Sheridan, Kelly Walsh, Cody and Jackson.

Pinedale Invitational 5K Freestyle Varsity Boys, Jan. 19 results

Fisher Mills, bib no. 87, earned 24th place with a total time 0:19:33.66. Nyle Swenson, bib no. 79, finished 30th with a time of 0:20:54.75. Kaden Bingham, bib no. 71, placed 37th with a total time of 0:21:52.49. Aiden Bucy, bib no. 55, earned 46th place in 0:25:16.73.

Pinedale Invitational 5K Freestyle Varsity Girls, Jan. 19 results

Olivia Tolson, bib no. 34, earned sixth place with an overall time of 0:19:43.60. Alyce Hayward, bib no. 20, secured 30th place with a time of 0:26:09.19. Bryn Arne, bib no. 28, placed 31st with a time of 0:26:19.37.

Marley Lance, bib no. 12, came in 37th place with a time of 0:32:18.34.

Pinedale Invitational 7K Classic Varsity Boys, Jan. 20 results

Mills finished in 21st place with a time of 0:29:10.15. Swenson came in 35th place with a time of 0:32:39.59. Bingham finished 37th in 0:33:08.68.

Keaton Jones earned 47th place with a time of 0:36:50.06. Bucy’s time of 0:40:31.67 earned him 48th place.

Pinedale Invitational 7K Classic Varsity Girls, Jan. 20 results

Tolson finished ninth in the 7K Classic with a time of 0:30:44.13 and Hayward secured 37th place with a time of 0:41:49.17.

Laramie Alpine Ski Invitational

Laramie hosted downhill skiers from Pinedale, Cody, Jackson, Kelly Walsh and Natrona County at the Snowy Range Ski Area over the weekend.

Girls’ Varsity Giant Slalom, Jan. 19 results

The PHS varsity girls’ alpine ski team finished in fifth place with 23 points, beating out the host school.

Ellie Tolson placed 11th in the giant slalom, with a total time of 1:47.66. Kemmer Clause finished the giant slalom in 17th place with a total time of 2:00.71. Lyla Maxwell finished in 21st place in 2:14.84. Roxi Melinkovich  placed 23rd with a time of 2:20.81.

Boys’ Varsity Giant Slalom, Jan. 19 results

The PHS varsity boys’ alpine ski team placed second, tallying 69 points and beating out Natrona County (41), Kelly Walsh (34), Cody (32) and Laramie (18).

Destin Williams finished seventh in the giant slalom, with a time of 1:35.30. Dune MeCartney finished in eighth place with a time of 1:36.35. Tristan Robertson completed the race in 1:38.01, earning him 11th place.

Girls’ Varsity Giant Slalom, Jan. 20 results

Ellie Tolson placed 12th with a time of 1:28.30. Nora Broadhead placed 13th in 1:28.64.

Clause placed 21st in 1:36.13. Melinkovich placed 22nd with a time of 1:36.51. Maxwell earned 27th place with an overall time of 1:38.81.

Boys’ Varsity Giant Slalom, Jan. 20 results

James Tolson pulled into third place, with a time of 1:16.63. Destin Williams placed tenth with a time of 1:19.83. Garrett Saunders was 12th with a time of 1:21.14. MeCartney came in 14th place in 1:21.73. Robertson slid into 18th place in 1:27.85.
