GREEN RIVER — The Pinedale High School boys and girls grapplers are preparing for a major week of wrestling as they gear up for the Lander Invite at Lander Valley High School on Friday, Jan. 19, and Saturday, Jan. 20.

Participating teams include those from Pinedale and Big Piney, Burns/Pine Bluffs, Cheyenne South, Cody, Cokeville, Douglas, Dubois, Evanston, Green River, Greybull/Riverside, Jackson, Kemmerer, Lander, Laramie, Lyman, Mountain View, Newcastle, Powell, Rawlins, Riverton, Rock Springs, Saratoga, Star Valley, Sundance, Thermopolis, Torrington, Wind River, Worland and Wyoming Indian high schools.

The Lady Wranglers’ wrestling team placed second overall at the annual Thoman Dual Tournament in Green River on Saturday, Jan. 13, with 150 total points. The team beat out Campbell County, Kemmerer and Green River.

The PHS varsity boys’ wrestling team finished the Green River Wrestling Duals third in the silver bracket and seventh overall out of 24 teams competing from Wyoming, Colorado and Utah. They competed in Pool “B,” taking on Uintah, Utah, Campbell County and Wheatland. Individual placings are below.
