Other than Hogs for Hope, I won't be back to Wyoming

Dear Editor,

I worked in Rawlins, Wyo., as a traveling medical technologist in 2023, and as a hiking and kayaking enthusiast, I was fortunate enough to see some of Wyoming’s natural beauty. That included hiking Medicine Bow peak twice, a stunning hike.
I was disgusted to hear about the incident of wolf torture that occurred in Daniel and which was largely legal in Wyoming. I will be attending the second annual Hogs for Hope motorcycle protest that will occur in Daniel in June. I will trailer my motorcycle from Arizona, behind my cargo van, which will be full of supplies, so that I won’t spend any money in Wyoming. This is the last thing I want to do. I deeply wish that my return visit to Wyoming was to hike, kayak, and spend money having fun in a beautiful place. Instead I’m going to a dark place to try to get some justice, or at least a change of laws, for this wolf.

Those who want to protect that scumbag should consider the common knowledge that psychopaths never torture one animal. I believe he has undoubtedly tortured other animals and would also torture people if there weren’t laws protecting them. The other patrons at the Green River Bar had an obligation to intervene but instead they participated in the torture. All of Wyoming is complicit until you change your heartless laws.

Sincerely,

Andrea Jessen,

Golden Valley, Ariz.
