BONDURANT — U.S. Forest Service crews completed more than 700 acres of treatment on the Monument Ridge Prescribed Fire this week, pausing ignitions briefly after the Monument Ridge Vegetation and Recreation Management Project area received over a quarter inch of rain. A haze from the fire activity was visible over the weekend and throughout the week from Bondurant, Pinedale, Big Piney, Jackson and even as far as Boulder.

Fire personnel monitoring the area will continue ignitions as weather conditions are favorable.

The public is asked not to report the smoke visible from this fire. For more information, please visit tetonfires.com. The motoring public is advised to use caution when traveling in the area due to potentially smoky conditions.
