PINEDALE – The Pinedale High School volleyball team had a great last week of the regular season.

On Tuesday, Oct. 21, the Lady Wranglers traveled to play 4A Green River. Although Pinedale lost in three sets (25-18, 25-21 and 25-17), the team got better by playing against a good 4A team with a fast offense. The Lady Wranglers stayed with the Lady Wolves for most of each set.

Pinedale traveled to Lyman for the final conference game of the regular season and came away with an exciting four-set win: 25-21, (24-26), 28-26 and 25-18.

The Lady Wranglers improved at defense and blocking this week and met a passing goal they set for themselves this season. The team continues to work on its offense as well.

The Pinedale junior varsity and freshman teams also ended the season with close three-set wins in Lyman.

The Lady Wranglersvarsity team ended up with a 5-5 conference record, sitting in fourth place going into regionals. Three of the conference losses were in games that went into close five-set matches, so good things could happen at regionals.
