PINEDALE – Pinedale’s indoor track team competed at its final qualifying meet hosted by Natrona County High School on Feb. 20. Two athletes made it through the rigorous and unusual process this year, to make the cut to State – seniors Isabella Romasko and Teagan Bowers.
Romasko picked up two first-place wins in Casper on Saturday, taking first in the girls’ varsity 55-meter dash finals, clocking in at 7.62 seconds. The senior won the triple jump finals, measuring in at 36 feet, five inches.
Bowers also scored double wins at the meet. He placed first in the boys’ varsity high jump at 5-9 and won the triple jump at 42-4 1/2. Bowers and teammates senior Isaac Butterfield, sophomore Noah Sletten and junior Konner Ziegler swept the competition in the boys’ varsity 4x200-meter relay, timing in at 1 minute, 39.23 seconds.
Sletten took first place in the boys’ varsity pole vault, reaching 9-6.
