Dear Editor,
The word on the street is, ICE is in Pinedale. They must be here since we have so much Immigration-related Crime and Immigration-related Gang activity. Oh, yeah. All the rapists and murderers, too. But we don’t.
If there are immigrants here, they are working and raising their families.
The Trump Administration is acting like a Fascist administration. They are disappearing human beings. Our Fathers and Uncles fought the Hitler Regime that did similar things to human beings that he didn’t care for.
People in Pinedale and surrounding areas who may be targeted by ICE are human beings who are contributing community members and have families that love them.
Some of the people ICE has kidnapped include American citizens, who are conveniently disbelieved when stating their citizenship.
We must continue to tell this Administration that ICE actions are wrong. To tell Governor Gordon and Senators Lummis and Barrasso and Representative Hageman. To tell State Senator Laura Pierson and State Representative Mike Schmidt: Immigration issues related to alleged crimes must be addressed through due process.
This message is for ICE employees and contractors: You should be ashamed. Go home to your families, and leave ours alone.
Is this reported activity here in Pinedale just to fill the space at the new ICE Detention facility in Rock Springs?
For any reason, detention without just cause or due process is wrong.
