PINEDALE — Pinedale High School senior Josh Gosar tallied 1,000 career points in an away game against Kemmerer on Tuesday, Dec. 19, posting 29 points during the game to help the Wranglers defeat the Rangers 76-48.
Prior to the holiday break, Gosar was averaging 16.7 points and shooting 36 percent from the field during the 2023-2024 basketball season. He leads the wranglers at 7.8 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 3.2 steals per game.
During his junior year, Gosar earned All-State and All-Conference accolades, averaging a team-best 16.2 points and shooting 37 percent from the floor. He contributed 5.2 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game during the 2022-23 basketball season. As a sophomore, Gosar averaged 12.2 points per game. As a freshman, he averaged 13.6 points per game during the 2020-21 basketball season.
The Pinedale High School Wranglers will host their first home game of the season, the Boys Winter Classic, this weekend, Jan. 5-6. The boys take on Buffalo beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 5, followed by Worland at 11 a.m. on Jan. 6 and Thermopolis at 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
