SUBLETTE COUNTY – The Sublette Examiner placed in four different categories at the 2021 Wyoming Press Association Pacemaker Awards. The virtual awards ceremony honored papers of all sizes throughout the state on Jan. 16.

The Examiner, entered in the small weeklies division, won the Best Government Issue Reporting category for reporter Joy Ufford’s extensive coverage of the potential Jackson Fork Ranch resort. Ufford also earned second-place honors in the Outdoors/Environmental Reporting category for coverage on the Upper Green River grizzlies and grazing, as well as honorable mention acknowledgement in the In-Depth Reporting category for her coverage of gray wolves in Sublette County.

Reporter Robert Galbreath earned second-place distinction in Spot News Story for his coverage of rescuers responding to a crash in Hoback Canyon.
