Donors partner to provide free speciality plates to Sublette County veterans

SUBLETTE COUNTY — As a gesture of gratitude to the men and women of the U.S. military, a group of Sublette County businesses and residents has partnered with a nonprofit to cover the costs of the veteran speciality license plate fees for local veterans. The gesture is meant to recognize America’s upcoming 250th anniversary and the military service that helped establish the nation. The group will cover the $50 license plate fee associated with the veteran speciality plate, not the vehicle registration cost, for one veteran plate per eligible veteran residing in Sublette County.

To qualify, veterans must provide a DD-214 and be a resident of the county. Funds are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis until exhausted, or through July 4, whichever occurs first.

Applications are available through the County Treasurer’s Office. For more information, contact Treasurer Emily Paravacini at 307-367-4373.

Donated funds for the program are funneled through the Pinedale VFW Women’s Auxiliary, which provides the 501 (c) (3) receipt.
