PINEDALE – The Pinedale Aquatic Center announced last week that Recreation Supervisor Deanna Fildey has been awarded the 2025 Outstanding Professional Award by the Wyoming Recreation and Parks Association (WRPA). This award recognizes exceptional leadership, dedication, and innovation in parks and recreation.
Fildey began her career at PAC in January 2015, taking on roles as a fitness instructor, personal trainer, recreation aide, and ultimately recreation supervisor. Throughout her tenure, she has demonstrated a deep commitment to building community through meaningful, inclusive programming. Her work ranges from leading youth day camps and spearheading employee wellness programs to organizing community-wide events and executing grant funding for new initiatives.
Fildey “leads by example, supporting her staff with empathy, clear communication, and high standards, all while continually finding innovative ways to connect PAC with the broader community,” said PAC Director Amber Anderson. “She transforms PAC from a facility into a true community hub, a place where people belong.”
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Fildey invests in her own growth, pursuing a bachelor’s degree and attending conferences to bring back best practices to PAC. Her personal dedication to patrons and staff alike has left a lasting impact on the Pinedale community.
The award was presented at the WRPA Annual Awards Banquet, where colleagues and peers from around the state celebrated Deanna’s achievements and contributions to the field of parks and recreation.
