Blood draws planned in Pinedale

Posted

PINEDALE — Sublette County Public Health, in cooperation with Wyoming Health Fairs (WHF), is offering discounted blood draws at Rendezvous Pointe Senior Center in Pinedale later this month.

There are numerous services available through the local partnership with Wyoming Health Fairs, including an expanded list of blood screenings. The low-cost screenings include blood chemistry panel, hemoglobin, prostate-specific antigen or PSA, vitamins, thyroid, blood type, testosterone, arthritis, celiac, hepatitis, SAR-CoV-2 antibodies and ferritin, among many others.

WHF recommends 12 hours of fasting prior to a blood draw unless the patient is diabetic.

Online results from screenings are available within three to five business days, while mailed results should arrive within two weeks.

Because WHF is a preferred provider for Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Cigna and Mountain Health Co-op, WHF will submit an insurance claim on a patient’s behalf. Patients are responsible for any claims not paid by their insurance plan. WHF can also prepare an itemized bill to submit to insurance for reimbursement upon request.

WHF cannot bill Medicare or Medicare supplement insurance plans.

WHF accepts all forms of payment, including checks, credit and debit cards.

Pinedale Health Fair Blood Draws are scheduled from 6 to 10 a.m. from Aug. 29 to Aug. 31 at 425 E. Magnolia St.

Walk-ins are welcome but appointments are appreciated. To schedule your low-cost blood draw online, visit https://wyominghealthfairs.com/appointments and click on the yellow dot that says “Pinedale.”

For more information or for assistance with registering for an appointment, call Sublette County Public Health at 307-367-2157.

Proceeds from the Health Fair Blood Draws benefit local community programs through Sublette County Public Health Nursing.
