BIG PINEY – The Big Piney High School Puncher varsity football obtained an unanticipated rest week when St. Stephens pulled out of the conference game scheduled for Sept. 28. The cancellation is considered a forfeit win for Big Piney.
The Puncher junior varsity squad traveled to play Evanston on Thursday, Sept. 28.
The varsity squad returns to action this week with an important away game against conference rival Shoshoni on Thursday, Oct. 5. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m.
The Punchers enter the sixth week of the season with a 4-1 overall record and a 3-1 conference record.
Big Piney is looking forward to the upcoming game against the Shoshoni Wranglers.
“We received a much-needed week of rest and healing for our varsity kids,” said Head Coach Jeromy Moffat. “Shoshoni will be a big conference game for seeding.”
