PINEDALE – An epic season for the Pinedale High School Wrangler basketball team concluded with three athletes earning multiple postseason awards from the Wyoming Coaches Association.

Seniors Josh Gosar and Bridger Kaiser both snagged 3A All-State honors and 3A West All-Conference recognition. Gosar was one of five athletes selected to the states All-Defensive Team.

Senior Owen McMillen received 3A West All-Conference accolades.

Each players success reflected an historic season for the Wranglers, Coach Gosar said.

This is the first time the Wranglers have been to state in over six years,” Coach Gosar added. It also marked 40 years since both our girlsand boysteams made it together to the state tournament.”

The Wranglers finished the 2023-2024 regular season as the No. 1 seed in the 3A Southwest Quadrant for the first time in six years, posting a 5-1 conference record.

These young men had an outstanding season,” Coach Gosar said. Nothing could have been accomplished this season without the leadership from all six of our seniors – Josh Gosar, Bridger Kaiser, Owen McMillen, Brody Hamby, Jayce Ramage and Ryley Lea. These boyscommitment and dedication to our program was amazing. I was so proud to call myself their coach.”

Josh Gosar

Gosars All-State honors marked the seniors second award for his high school career and his third All-Conference accolades.

Gosar dominated both the 3A West Conference and Wyoming in scoring, ending the season in the No. 1 spot for the conference and all-classifications, averaging 16.8 points per game.

Gosar also concluded the season ranked No. 3 in the conference for both steals (2.3 per game) and shooting from outside the perimeter (36 percent).

The senior connected 2.6 assists per game, ranked seventh in the conference and eighth for all-class. Gosar also performed well on the boards, pulling down seven rebounds per game – fourth in the conference and seventh in the state.

Gosar will join the South Team for the All-Star basketball game this summer.

This is an amazing accomplishment as only 10 kids are picked to represent the south side of the state from all classes combined,” Coach Gosar said.

Josh Gosar reached an important milestone in his basketball journey in December when he netted his 1,000th career point. The senior tallied 1,334 points over four years as a Wrangler.

Joshs work ethic is truly amazing,” Coach Gosar said. Hes in the gym in the mornings before practices as well as in the gym on weekends when we get back from games.”

Gosar plans to continue his basketball career at the college level.

Bridger Kaiser

Kaiser received both All-State and All-Conference honors for the first time in 2023-2024, an amazing accomplishment” for the senior, Coach Gosar said.

Kaiser excelled on either side of the court. The senior totaled 331 points over the season, pulled down 140 rebounds, delivered 60 assists and snatched 28 steals.

Kaiser made the top-10 list in the 3A West Conference for multiple stats. The senior was seventh for both scoring (13.2 points per game) and shooting from outside the perimeter (34 percent). Kaiser finished the season with the No. 8 ranking for rebounding at 5.6 per game. He was ninth for assists, averaging 2.4 per game.

On offense, Kaiser shot the ball with dead-eye accuracy. The senior shot 71 percent from the floor against both Buffalo on Jan. 5 and Cheyenne Central on Dec. 8. From the charity stripe, Kaiser netted 83 percent of free throws against Mountain View on Feb. 23 and again versus Jackson on Jan. 30.

Bridger had an amazing senior season,” Coach Gosar said. He put in a ton of time this off-season and he helped to get the team to the state tournament.”

McMillen – earning his second All-Conference award – proved a tenacious player on both offense and defense. Throughout the season, McMillen netted 342 points, pulled down 133 rebounds, connected 41 assists and grabbed 51 steals.

McMillen also received All-State honorable mention from the Wyoming Coaches Association.
