Locals represent at Girls State


WYOMING – Wyoming Girls State was held last week and included multiple local delegates. Those delegates were chosen from throughout the state to participate in education sessions that create mock Senate, House and judicial systems.

Alena Mika of Pinedale was elected to the Antelope City Council and appointed as the Department of Environmental Quality Director. Her city was awarded as Outstanding City.

Janae Arne of Pinedale was elected for Bison City Treasurer and was appointed as the state Fire Marshal.

Emmaline Vrska of Pinedale was elected for Cottonwood Police Officer and Federalist Party Election Clerk. She was also awarded Outstanding Cottonwood Delegate.

Katherine LaBuda of Pinedale was elected for Sagebrush Police Chief and county sheriff. She also won Outstanding Sagebrush Delegate.

Big Piney’s Autumn Wright was elected to Cottonwood City Council and Tuesday Prosecution Reporter. She was also appointed as the judge of District Court.
