Candidacy Announcement

Councilwoman Judi Boyce announces candidacy for County Commissioner

Posted

Dear friends and neighbors in Sublette County,

As you may be aware, I am running for Sublette County Commissioner. I currently serve on the Pinedale Town Council and as the Mayor’s appointed representative on a couple of town boards. I wanted to assure you that if I am elected as a County Commissioner, I will resign my positions with the town prior to taking office with the County. Because campaign promises can be broken, I opted to prove that I am committed to this by presenting the Town Council with the letter below at the June 10 Town Council meeting. I hope this will alleviate any concerns that I would potentially serve on both boards.

Following is the letter I submitted to the council on June 10:

Dear Mayor and Council Members,
As you are aware, I am running for County Commissioner. If I am elected to fill that position, I will resign my position on the Town Council and as the Town of Pinedale’s appointed representative on the PAC Joint Powers Board, and Pinedale Planning and Zoning before taking office as a Sublette County Commissioner.
Please accept this letter as my notice of resignation, contingent upon election. I will provide a more specific timeline by the first November Town Council meeting if I am elected.

Thank you,
Judi Boyce, Pinedale, Wyo.
