PINEDALE — Sublette BOCES is the home of the Sublette County Family Resource Center, made possible by a grant from the Wyoming Children’s Trust Fund. The center, located in the Sublette BOCES building at 665 N. Tyler Avenue in Pinedale, aims to strengthen Sublette County families and individuals while building a strong community. The center provides a range of services, resources and referrals, activities and classes all in one convenient place.
The Sublette County Family Resource Center is part of the larger Wyoming Family Resource Centers Collective, a collaborative statewide network formed to help establish Family Resource Centers or strengthen existing centers across the state. The collective connects organizations with grant funding and provides grantees with technical assistance and best practices for establishing a Family Resource Center in their community.
With the help of Jennifer Zook, Early Childhood Program Coordinator for The Align Team,Sublette BOCES became aware of the grant that led to the formation of the Sublette County Family Resource Center. After the grant was awarded earlier this year, the first Grant Coordinator, Tillie Dibben, was assigned to establish the center. Once the center was up and running, Dibben trained the new Grant Coordinator Stephanie Hunter to continue the work she began. Hunter is new to Pinedale but has roots in town. She is looking forward to becoming a recognizable, trusted member of the Sublette County community.
The center is open four days a week to serve local families Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. Appointments during non-operating hours are available upon request.
