We have the greatest library in the country

Don’t forget Snow White and Cinderella too.

Welcome to my favorite place in town, the Pinedale Library, the best in the country.

Framed by our awesome sheriff’s and fire departments, it is stunningly beautiful inside and out.

In the spring, summer, fall and (my favorite) winter, the landscape is a splash fight between Rembrandt and Monet; golden aspens, the most emerald of pine trees, sparkling flowers, rocks to sit on, moose moseying around … and the Lovatt Room replays our spectacular sunrises with its tall windows and solar panels.

Speaking of the Lovatt, this is where we remember and celebrate our passed-away loved ones, with cake and stories. The senior prom was recently held there and time stood still.

Guys in sharp tuxedos and cowboy hats, girls in shimmering white gowns. They took goofy pictures and snuck smooches.

Inside there’s the wonderful Sukey Hohl and my longtime White Pine friend Mary Thompson. My old pal Bob McCarty still strums his guitar there.

Then there is the amazing Michelle Humber. She sings and plays music and puppets like an angel from heaven ‑ and the kids are attracted to her, indoors and out, like moths to a flame. Then the little penguins get to spin and fall and hug each other underneath a bubble machine on the lawn.

How cool is that!

Among the true heroes of our society are young parents bringing and raising children into these craziest of times. They love the library and we love them.

Everyone who works there is helpful, smart and kind. The computers, and even the copy machine, work well and you can play chess just past the entrance. Everything good in our terrific town is posted on the bulletin board.

It is the best library in the country and the credit goes to too many to individually recognize. If you have never been there, check it out, along with a book or movie.

As an old geezer I even watch its flowing flags out front to know how the Wyoming weather will be that day.

How cool is that!

And Cinderella too.
