Summer ice is nice!

Posted

PINEDALE – It’s like magic, stepping from 70-plus summer heat into the sharp, frosty interior of the Sublette County Ice Arena. Although not everyone enjoys blustery winter itself, those who love being on the ice are excited about this summer’s early skating.

These are figure skaters, hockey players, beginners and families with kids pushing chairs. Weekly schedules thus far include public skating, stick and puck practices, drop-in hockey, private practices and Wind River Skate Club figure skating. Just like winter, skates can be rented and sharpened for the summer season at the arena with Grant Golden and his crew. This week, young hockey players attended the CTH Hockey Skating & Skills Camp.
