The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office reported 199 calls from May 1 to May 7, including an assault, a death, one burglary and three thefts, eight livestock problems, three fires, three juvenile problems, 22 citizen assists, six medical emergencies, 16 suspicious incidents, 32 urinalyses and 33 vehicle identification number inspections.

Sheriff's report May 1 to May 7

The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office reported 199 calls from May 1 to May 7, including an assault, a death, one burglary and three thefts, eight livestock problems, three fires, three juvenile problems, 22 citizen assists, six medical emergencies, 16 suspicious incidents, 32 urinalyses and 33 vehicle identification number inspections.

May 1

At 6:53 a.m., three horses were running loose.

At 7:24 a.m., a landlord asked what to do with an evicted tenant’s left-behind belongings.

At 8:15 a.m., a suspicious man stopped a girl who asked if he was looking for her father, then slowly drove away.

At 8:58 a.m., a death was reported.

At 9:12 a.m., a detective investigation a report of fraud.

At 11:04 a.m., a rancher asked for traffic control with cattle trucks.

At 2:21 p.m., a deputy investigated a juvenile problem.

At 3:11 p.m., a bank employee accidentally set off an alarm.

At 3:24 p.m., a store’s trespass order was lifted against a juvenile.

At 5:21 p.m., a theft was reported; the suspect is trespassed from the business.

At 6:08 p.m., a person had breathing problems.

At 7 p.m., a person tried to start a cookstove and it exploded.

At 9:20 p.m., a car that hit a deer was slowly trying to make it back to Rock Springs.

May 2

At 9:08 a.m., a deer was caught in a fence south of Big Piney where the new wildlife fence ended.

At 9:10 a.m., a prisoner was transported.

At 10:22 a.m., 15 cattle were running loose.

At 11:09 a.m., a chimney fire sparked a grass fire.

At 11:21 a.m., a dozen black cows were in the road.

At 12:27 p.m., a woman reported an abandoned vehicle.

At 2:04 p.m., a person had breathing problems.

At 2:31 p.m., someone vandalized a Marbleton park.

At 2:58 p.m., a school employee reported a juvenile problem.

At 3:55 p.m., a citizen reported violation of a protection order.

At 5:20 p.m., a truck was leaking diesel.

At 6:44 p.m., a man turned in his passport to SCSO.

At 7:41 p.m., a suspicious black truck with big tires was stopping in summer homes’ driveways. A deputy only found tracks to one house.

At 7:53 p.m., a woman asked a deputy to check on someone’s welfare.

At 8:43 p.m., a school resource officer looked into harassment.

At 8:50 p.m., the town of Pinedale had a water-line leak.

At 9:05 p.m., a man said people from two vehicles were horn hunting; it was unfounded.

May 3

At 4:15 a.m., a deputy reported a deer was a traffic hazard.

At 8:44 a.m., a black cow was grazing along the highway again.

At 10:38 a.m., a caller asked about driving a vehicle with expired registration to get new registration.

At 11:22 a.m., a person trespassed from a bank kept calling to talk to an employee.

At 11:27 a.m., a caller with a protection order asked if he could go move something left outside.\

At 12:22 p.m., a man thought two missing huskies were near his property.

At 12:31 p.m., young drivers were speeding and being disrespectful.

At 12:35 p.m., a medical emergency came from a person with breathing problems.

At 1:11 p.m., a blue flatbed semi was honking and speeding about 70 mph through Daniel.

At 1:45 p.m., a SAFV employee asked to talk about a protection order.

At 2:10 p.m., two vehicles collided near Pine Street and Fremont Lake Road.

At 2:22 p.m., a woman reported harassment to the sheriff.

At 2:39 p.m., a person might be having heatstroke.

At 5:29 p.m., a dead cow was spotted in the Green River.

At 6:16 p.m., a man stopped for speeding through town was arrested for drug possession.

At 9:32 p.m., a woman asked a deputy to check on someone’s welfare.

At 11:21 p.m., a cabin renter came home and found a light on. A deputy checked and all was okay.

May 4

At 8:10 a.m., a prisoner was taken to the Pinedale Clinic.

At 9:08 a.m., a caller said someone knocked over a fire hydrant the night before, stood it back up and left. A deputy interviewed the vehicle owner.

At 9:32 a.m., school staff reported an unauthorized absence.

At 11:13 a.m., a suspicious 911 call came in.

At 11:56 a.m., theft was reported.

At 1:46 p.m., a cell phone accidentally called 911.

At 4:02 p.m., a medical emergency call about a vehicle crash was transferred to Lincoln County.

At 4:54 p.m., an injured person couldn’t move a hand and an ankle was bleeding.

At 6:23 p.m., a controlled substance problem is under investigation.

May 5

At 5:05 a.m., a building and condensate tank battery located in the gas field off Calpet Road were on fire.

At 7:35 a.m., a Pinedale business reported a burglary; a suspect was arrested.

At 10:40 a.m., a drug detective emptied the prescription drop box.

At 10:47 a.m., a man trying to get on the North Cottonwood Creek Road said an access road was locked. He called the Big Piney Ranger District, which is investigating with SCSO.

At 11:15 a.m., a white Ford F350 and white Dodge Ran 2500 dinged each other.

At 11:20 a.m., a small grass fire was reported north of Daniel.

At 2:30 p.m., a man stayed on the line after his phone accidentally dialed 911.

At 5:30 p.m., a stray German shepherd with a collar appeared healthy.

At 7:01 p.m., a school resource officer received juvenile information.

At 8:45 p.m., a man wanted to talk to a deputy about threats to his dog.

At 9 p.m., a man hit a deer and pulled over; another driver hit debris and might have gotten a flat tire.

At 11:31 p.m., a man was suspicious after hearing a child’s voice outside. A deputy didn’t find anyone outside.

May 6

At 12:06 p.m., cows were on the highway and more were ready to come through an open gate.

At 12:11 p.m., a woman called after getting a 911 alert on her mother’s phone; everything was okay.

At 1:31 p.m., a man was cited for a bond violation.

At 4:10 p.m., a family kept trespassing on a woman’s property with no easement to get to a landlocked piece.

At 5:10 p.m., a deputy helped a person who fell.

At 5:28 p.m., a citizen reported a juvenile problem.

At 5:44 p.m., a man reported their motel was being broken into; the person had a key.

At 5:49 p.m., a stray corgi was wandering around a parking lot.

At 5:51 p.m., a suspicious man wearing a face gaiter was taking pictures of homes from the bike path. Deputies didn’t find anyone.

At 6:38 p.m., a man had a stray husky jumped into his vehicle.

At 7:52 p.m., a medical emergency was reported by someone having dizzy spells.

At 8:25 p.m., a caller witnessed juveniles’ vandalism.

At 9:24 p.m., an assault with juvenile involvement was reported.

May 7

At 12:04 a.m., a deputy responded to a family problem.

At 4:09 a.m., a patient with a painful catheter was heading back to the clinic.

At 10:09 a.m., a woman was concerned about a dog’s wellbeing.

At 12:36 p.m., the patient had another medical emergency.

At 3:10 p.m., a woman wait to picked for a deputy an older black dog without tags.

At 3:19 p.m., a citizen asked a deputy to help get someone to leave the house.

At 4:41 p.m., a man confronted someone about hitting his dog who got verbally aggressive.

At 6:44 p.m., an abandoned vehicle was reported.

At 9:58 p.m., a woman who left her car running said people tried to get in and drive it away but ran when they saw her. A person was arrested for theft.
