PINEDALE – Snowy and cold conditions didn’t deter avid rifle and pistol shooters from getting out for some friendly competition Saturday morning, as the Pinedale Rifle and Pistol Club held its Ham Shoot competition.
The competition is geared toward younger folks to garner interest in the sport of shooting; however, the spring shoot didn’t bring out the young crowd like the Turkey Shoot did last fall. The event had categories for ages 7-11, 12-15 and 16 and older, yet only adults who showed up participated this time around.
Those who put together the best round of shooting multiple sets of targets down range were awarded with one of 12 hams on hand.
