Ruth Elinor Orman went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Saturday, May 6, 2017.

She and her twin brother Richard “Dick” Edward were born in Sheridan, Wyo., to George Kenneth Brown and Matilda Catherine (Ross) Brown on Sept. 14, 1928. She attended high school in Fort Collins, Colo., and thereafter married David “Red” James Orman.

During her younger days, Ruth traveled around the state of Wyoming with Red following work in the oilfield. They eventually settled in Casper, Wyo., where they made a home and retired. Ruth was known for her easy laugh, quick-witted humor, love of Bingo, card-playing ability and crocheting.

She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter Catherine Ella, parents, and three siblings.

She is survived and will be deeply missed by her daughter Jan Keller and her husband Kent, grandchildren Leon “Lee” Covell and his wife Jessica, Lani Sorensen and her husband Scott, and Christopher Covell and his wife April, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the Southwest Sublette County Pioneers Senior Center, P.O. Box 33, Big Piney, WY 83113. She absolutely loved going to lunch and playing cards with all her buddies there.
