Roxanna Mae Jensen, age 72, was born
Aug. 16, 1946, in Jackson, and passed away
July 4, at Huntsman Cancer Center in Salt
Lake City. She grew up on a ranch in Boulder,
attending primary grades at the Boulder
school house, graduated from Pinedale High
School and attended business school at Stevens-
Henager College for business.
Roxanna was always active in the community
and heavily committed to numerous
Sublette County organizations. She was a
30-year 4-H leader including serving as the
president of the 4-H Foundation, served on
the 4-H Council and was an active member
of the Sublette County Fair Board. She
was a board member of the Pinedale Fine
Arts Council, a board member of the Pinedale
Half-Marathon, a board member of
the Boulder Community Center, served 16
years as Sublette County Deputy Treasurer
and 20 years as Sublette County Treasurer.
When she was not busy helping others, she
enjoyed reading, walking, growing plants and golf.
She was the oldest daughter of Don and Nellie Rogers. She was very proud of her children
and is survived by her daughter Tracy (Kirk) Hoover of Pinedale, her son Larry (Natalia)
Jensen of Rockville, Md., and her daughter Donna (Chris) Lauger of Las Vegas, Nev.
She is also survived by her beautiful grandchildren, Dawson Hoover, Madelaine Lauger,
Vlad Jensen and Tiana Jensen.
Roxanna leaves behind her brothers Donald (Carol) Rogers of Boulder, Jim (Gay) Rogers
of Laramie, and her sisters Linda (Doug) Hill of Riverton and Leona (Tom) Medlin of
Colorado Springs, Colo. She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Nelda Quigley.
She was “Aunt Sana” to 14 nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews,
as well as a great friend to many community members.
Roxanna’s giving nature and active service made her easy to love and she will be missed.
A memorial service will be conducted 11 a.m., Friday, July 12, at Pinedale Community
Church, 113 S. Maybell. Memorial gifts in Roxanna’s name can be made to Kickin’ Cancer
